Food, glorious food!

Food and eating is my passion, we were never just meant to eat to get us through the day, food provides us with so much more and it is an essential component of a healthy body and mind.

What you choose to eat and why is fundamental to the health that you experience.

The food you eat has a direct affect on your body and is one of the main determining factors
of the state of your health.

You can literally ‘Eat yourself well’

By discovering the wonderful properties of food in the most natural and organic sense, taking inspiration from how ancient civilisations used food as their medicine, we can tap into a bountiful resource of gentle wellness. By dropping all of the negativity around food and all the bad labels food seems to have received these days we begin to positively shift our focus and return to the true essence of what food and eating is all about – nourishing our body, mind and soul in a universally beneficial manner.

With calorie counting and weighing your cereals out of the proverbial window, all that we are left with is the true nature of food as we focus on getting in touch with our bodies needs without getting hung up on what the latest diet crazes are saying. You are free to enjoy eating and enjoy your food in the wonderful knowledge that you are creating a beautiful body.

The question should never be what’s wrong with my body, rather, what is my body trying to tell me? The willingness to first ask this question and then to act up on the answer, feeding your body what it most needs to feel good, is amazing, an experience that is as positive as it is empowering as you soon discover you have control over the reality of your own well-being.

Quick tips:

Almonds

Cinamon

Flas seeds

Flaxseeds are a great source of omega 3, great for your heart, reducing inflammation and encouraging weight loss, but, you need to grind them to receive all of these wonderful benefits, so make sure you buy Ground Flaxseed or use a coffee grinder and do it yourself.
quinoa

Quinoa has been cultivated since 3000 BC by the Ancient Incans and it was referred to as the ‘Gold of the Incas’ and eaten by their famous Incan army for strength. This superfood is full of minerals and vitamins and is a complete source of protein, an excellent addition to your diet, specifically for hormonal balance, diabetes and weight loss.
