A few days ago I made the mad dash from Starbucks (where I had a Green Tea!) to my car; the heat in the car was more furnace like than an oven. With wild frizzy hair, makeup resembling an oil slick and a colour more combustion like than healthy glow I frantically tried to get the AC on full blast and cool down. During the drive home I thought about the extreme heat that we experience during an Arabian summer which left me pondering the extremes we experience in our life too.

At a first glance you may think we would all do well to avoid such extremes and stay somewhere in the middle, but then think of all the contrast, variety, excitement and experience we would miss out on. Maybe it is not for us to avoid the extremes of life but rather work on our ability to bring harmony to our lives and our bodies whatever the circumstances. A harmony is a most beautiful sound, harmonising high and low notes in the most delicate of ways creating a vibration so wonderful and powerful that it resonates through each of us and touches our spirit. I can’t think of a more beautiful way to live....

These little orangey red berries are originally from China and have long been savored and enjoyed. Goji Berries are known to have amazing longevity effects and are commonly known as the fountain of youth, sound like the type of reason you need to tuck into a few handfuls of Goji Berries? Let me think - less wrinkles, more vitality, more energy, looking and feeling youthful and fresh – I think so!

The magic is with the Human Growth Hormone (HGH), as we age this decreases but Goji Berries have been shown to help maintain higher levels of HGH increasing our longevity and providing a great dose of anti ageing benefits.
|
But there is another excellent reason for you to incorporate this Superfood into your daily eating, Goji Berries are known as an adaptogen, this means that they have a combination of therapeutic actions on our bodies, capable of both invigorating and strengthening whilst also supporting our bodies through times of stress. This means that amazingly, Goji Berries have a harmonizing effect on our body that is different from person to person depending on their current state. Eating Goji Berries is a wonderful way to create a sense of harmony within our system and a wonderful way to support our body through the excitements of life’s extremes.
Amazingly Goji Berries are a great source of protein making them an excellent sweet snack whilst being gentle to your blood sugar, they are an excellent addition for vegetarians and vegans too.

The list is still not complete; Goji Berries boost immune, kidney and adrenal gland function, encourage strength, stamina, hormonal and sexual health. They are a welcome dose of alkalinity, neutralizing all that excess acid whilst being very kind to your liver and the quality of your blood.
|
Now I am impressed, these berries could just be the most nutritionally rich berry Mother Nature has provided. Find them in the dried fruit section of most supermarkets and health food shops.
